15055, BEL AIR, CALIFORNIA – April 2007. Metro Networks founder David Saperstein and his former wife Suzanne have just listed their Bel Air mansion for sale at $125 million. The mansion is on the market because Saperstein, now a large shareholder of Westwood One stock, and his wife recently divorced. Suzanne Saperstein got the house in the divorce, and now has put it on the market. Known as Fleur de Lys and located near on the edge of the Bel Air, the mansion is tied for second place with Donald Trumpís $125 million listing for a Palm Beach mansion. The current most expensive listing in the U.S. has been set by Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultanís ranch in Aspen, Colorado, which is listed for $135 million. The Fleur de Lys mansion was completed in 2002, about five years after construction started. Modeled after Versailles and other French palaces, the mansion measures either 35,046 square feet (according to the Los Angeles County Assessorís office) or 45,000 square feet (according to the Wall Street Journal.) Features in the mansion include Italian marble walls, French limestone floors, gold-embossed leather wall coverings, gold-leaf crown moldings, a ballroom with ceiling frescoes, a library with a first-edition book collection, two kitchens, and a 50-seat screening room, the Journal reported. Other features include a pool house with a full kitchen, massage room and gym, a three-bedroom managerís house, staff quarters for 10, a nine-car garage and a æ-mile jogging track. The Sapersteins bought the land in three phases, paying $5,375,000 in 1996 for the largest parcel and then picking up two other parcels in 1997 for $740,000 and $850,000, according to public records.
